Eminem Gets Spilled

Heading toward Relapse

We're a fan of new music here at 607 Magazine. In our searches this week we caught the song "Number One" which is rumored to be Eminem's return album Relapse and has even been considered to be Eminem's next single to support the Relapse album sales. Something tells us he won't need much help selling units of Relapse once it finally drops in either January or February of '09.

"Number One" is produced by Dr. Dre and there are rumors that the finished track will feature 16 bars from Dre as well. Something tells us the song's title is also the future spot on the charts if Mathers takes it to the next level. The song appeared on the DJ Big Mike and Neptune's latest mixtape 4th Quarter Pressure Part 2. You can catch it on YouTube right now, complete with what every mixtape comes with, DJ's yelling on the microphone over perfectly good songs.

Swizz Beatz has got in the middle of the new Eminem album as well. Swizz produced a song that features both Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. Swizz says it sounds big but he still doesn't have the name to it. Swizz said overall the sound is much different on Em's latest project. "Different sound, different mind frame. He's clear. But it's the Eminem that you missed, that you loved, that you need, especially right now in the industry, going into '09. He's coming back to take the cake. I just think you can hear a new energy in him. And, you know, the producers, everyone bringing forth their best on that level" explains Swizz Beatz.

Among the topics of discussion in an album called Relapse? Of course his recent stint in rehab will be of discussion, as well as much more personal issues such as the death of his best friend, and D12 member Proof. He'll also discuss his recent second divorce to Kim. Seriously, if they ever did live happily ever after we think Eminem's rap career may be over for lack of bitching. Either way, he'll have something else to say about the second (and hopefully for us all) final divorce to Kim.

Overall it feels like another huge deal is about to be made about the white boy rapper from Detroit, Michigan. Production is being stepped up, guests are coming in by the talent load, and apparently there are rumors that 100 tracks have been made to fit on this 20-something song return album. Either way we've been hearing Dre and Eminem haven't been seen for weeks as Eminem has got into a recent hot streak in the recording booth. "When a guy like Eminem gets on fire, you stop everything" explains Jimmy Iovine of Interscope.

Didn't we just say that, Jimmy!
